An Evening of Awareness and Remembrance
Thanks to the many St. Paul’s parishioners and leaders of the community, our first International Overdose Awareness Day event was a huge success. Our planning group, Stop the Stigma, met for months to initiate a community conversation that would bring the addiction crisis into the light. Our purpose was to offer support to anyone touched by addiction–people in recovery, family, friends, and community. Our candlelight vigil at the close of the evening named the departed and tolled a bell in remembrance.
